The Iowa UNA is a statewide grassroots member-driven organization seeking passionate and interested applicants for joining our internship team.

 

We are looking for interns interested in helping us to educate about, promote, and advocate for the United Nations and its extensive programs.

 

EDUCATION – Using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals as a road map, help us inform Iowans about the UN and its extensive programs.

​

PROMOTION – Help us get the word out about the UN and its extensive programs. This means social media as well as traditional outlets: print, radio, TV.

​

ADVOCACY – Help us urge our elected officials to support legislation that helps Iowans in a global world.

​

Interns are expected to work at least ten hours per week and commit for at least one semester.

Students are required to join UNA-USA and IUNA at no charge. Go to GENUN for more information.

The Iowa United Nations Association is the Iowa affiliate of the United Nations Association of the USA.  IUNA’s mandate is to inform Iowans about the work of the UN, to engage them in this work, and to advocate for constructive United States leadership in the UN system.
